Technical requirements

I. Pl@net INTERNET BANKING SYSTEM AVAILABLE THROUGH THE WEBSITE

1  Computer hardware and software

To operate correctly, the Pl@net system requires that your computer hardware and software should be in working order:
  • connected to Internet,
  • equipped with the internet browser enabling the use of SSL 3.0 128-bit protocol

2  Operating system

Login and transaction authorization method: masked password and SMS codes
  • Microsoft Windows XP / Windows 2000 / Windows Vista / Windows 7
  • Linux (Ubuntu, Mandriva, Suse or Fedora distributions) - kernel versions 2.4 and 2.6 or higher (if reverse compatibility is ensured), on condition that the browser is compiled under the same operating system version,
  • MacOS 10.1, 10.2 or higher
Login and transaction authorization method: digital signature (e-signature)
  • Microsoft Windows XP / Windows 2000 / Windows Vista / Windows 7

3  Internet browser

Login and transaction authorization method: masked password and SMS codes
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 36.x - 45.x
  • Mozilla Firefox version 36.x - 45.x
  • Opera version 30.x - 36.x
  • Google Chrome version 40.x - 48.x
Login and transaction authorization method: digital signature (e-signature)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 36.x - 45.x
  • Mozilla Firefox version 36.x - 39.x
Bank BGŻ BNP Paribas S.A. provides technical support to the Pl@net system for the Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox users in Win7, Windows8 (but only Desktop mode), Windows10, Linux 2.6 - 3.6.

4  Additional requirements for electronic signature

If you have selected the logging and transaction authorization method by masked password and SMS codes, no additional components or programs would need to be installed and normal user rights will be sufficient to work with the system.
If you have chosen to log in and authorize transactions with a digital signature, you should:
  1. have a cryptographic device - an USB device or a smart card (and a card reader), and
  2. install Comarch SmartCard software supporting cryptographic devices and signature generation component, which altogether require administrator rights to the computer.

A smart card is a piece of plastic of the size of a credit card with the microprocessor embedded inside. A private key is stored in the on-chip card memory; encrypting transactions are made through the card microprocessor.
To use a smart card one needs a processor card reader.

An USB cryptographic device resembles a pen-drive. An USB cryptographic device works in the same way as a smart card (a private key is stored in the on-chip memory), however, the difference is that no extra reader is needed for an USB cryptographic device - it gets connected directly to the computer (USB slot).
More information about USB cryptographic devices and smart cards you can find here.
Depending of the operating system and the Internet browser you use, the requirements for installation of the component to generate electronic signatures are the following:
Operating system: Microsoft Windows, browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer
For this browser you will need to install ActiveX. The component will install automatically during the first logging, provided that you have administrator rights or similar browser configuration.
Administrator rights are required one time only to install Comarch SmartCard software supporting cryptographic devices and ActiveX signature generation component; they get installed upon the first login. Once software is installed, normal user rights are sufficient to use the system.
The ActiveX component may be also installed by using the installer. Download the installation file to the local computer disc and run it. To start the installer, administrator rights are required. A 32-bit installation file or 64-bit installation file, depending on the version held, should be downloaded on the computer local disc and then started. To start the installer, administrator rights are required. Once the software is installed, regular user rights are sufficient to use the system.

Operating system: Microsoft Windows, browser: Mozilla Firefox
In this browser, a plug-in component must be installed to enable appending electronic signatures. The installation file should be downloaded on the computer local disc, the file extension should be changed from ZIP to XPI and the file should be opened in the Firefox browser. After the installation, restart the browser. To install the component, no administrator's rights are required.
Operating system: Microsoft Windows, browser: Opera
For the Opera browser the e-signature generation cryptographic devices (USB cryptographic devices and smart cards) are not supported.
Operating system: Linux or Mac OS, browser: all
In operating systems other than Microsoft Windows, the e-signature generation cryptographic devices (USB cryptographic devices and smart cards) are not supported.

II. Pl@net INTERNET BANKING SYSTEM AVAILABLE THROUGH THE MOBILE DEVICE (Mobile Pl@net)

1 Devices and Operating System

The application is available in a native version for:
  • Cell phones with Android version 2.X - 6.X
  • iOS/iPhone version 4.2, 5.X - 10.X

2 Logging and authorization on mobile devices

If the Pl@net system is used via native application installed on a mobile device, the user enters personally defined PIN to log on to the system and to authorize transactions.
PIN is defined during the mobile access activation process (device pairing). A detailed instructions on how to activate mobile devices (pairing) is available  here.
